| The Leeward Islands
From Antigua, steeped in English Naval history and with a beach for every day of the year to St Martin, half French, half Dutch and the discerning shoppers heaven, are delightfully individual. The mountainous islands of Saba and Statia have remained almost undisturbed by tourism and offer impressive dive sites. St Kitts and Nevis, also mountainous, are lush and covered in rainforest which is home to Greenback monkeys. Guadeloupe is a slice of Paris chic transported to a Caribbean paradise and for nature lovers Dominica is an absolute must.
The Windward Islands
This chain of four large islands. Martinique, every bit as French as mainland France and birthplace of Empress Josephine, St Lucia which is lush, tropical and developing fast, St Vincent is unspoilt, wild and beautiful while Grenada has it all, beautiful beaches, tropical rainforest and plenty of secluded coves. The Grenadines, which stretch between the latter two islands, are an idyllic cruising area made up of smaller islands, including Bequia and Mustique, and uninhabited cays.
Words can do little justice to this beautiful area but from your yacht, under the guidance of your experienced skipper, you can have the pleasure of really discovering the beauty of the Caribbean.
